Who this is with

These terms are the agreement between you and Gusi Studios LLC (“we”, “us”), a limited liability company registered in Mississippi, United States, at 2200 W 4th St. Apt. B, Hattiesburg, Mississippi 39401, United States. They cover your use of the Gusi Budget app and this website.

By using Gusi Budget you agree to them. If you do not, do not use the app.

What Gusi Budget is

A shared household budget. You record what you spend, group it into categories you choose, and share it with the people in your household.

It is a record-keeping tool, not financial advice. Nothing in the app is a recommendation about your money. We do not connect to your bank, we do not move money, and we are not a financial institution or a regulated adviser anywhere.

Your account

You need an account, and you are responsible for keeping access to it secure. Do not share your sign-in details. Tell us at support@gusistudios.com if you think somebody else has got into your account.

You must be at least 16 years old.

One person, one account. Do not create an account on somebody else’s behalf without their knowledge.

Households, and what sharing means

A household is shared. Everyone in it can see, edit and delete every expense in it, including amounts and notes. Adding someone to your household gives them that access. Only add people you intend to share your spending with.

Invite codes expire and can only be used once. Do not post one anywhere public.

When somebody leaves a household or is removed from it, the app asks what should happen to the entries they created and records the answer. That decision is final once confirmed.

What you put in

Your entries, notes and category names are yours. We do not claim ownership of them.

You grant us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your content, and to show it to the other members of your household. Nothing else.

Do not use the app to store anything unlawful, and do not use it to harass anybody you share a household with.

Advertising and the ad-free upgrade

The app is free and shows advertising.

You can buy a one-time ad-free upgrade through Google Play or the Apple App Store. It is a one-off purchase, not a subscription, and it applies to your account.

Payment is handled entirely by the store, under their terms, not ours. We never see your payment details.

Refunds are handled by the store, under the store’s refund policy. We cannot issue a refund for a purchase we did not process. If the upgrade does not activate after a successful purchase, write to support@gusistudios.com and we will fix the entitlement.

If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK or Switzerland, your statutory rights, including any right of withdrawal for digital content, are not affected by anything in this section.

Availability

We will try to keep Gusi Budget running, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of faults. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service altogether, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data first.

Keep your own records. The app has an export, and for anything that matters to you financially you should use it.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time, from inside the app. See how to delete your account.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used unlawfully, or is being used to attack the service. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why first.

Our liability

We provide Gusi Budget “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties.

We are not liable for any financial decision you make using the app, or for data you lose because you did not export it.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty United States dollars.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights stand regardless of this section.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new version.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Mississippi, United States.

If you are a consumer resident in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, nothing here deprives you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
